康宁Incorporated has been named one of the best places to work by theAmerican Association of People with DisabilitiesandDisability:IN.
康宁received a top score of 100 on the2018 Disability Equality Index(DEI), a national, transparent benchmark that provides companies an objective score on disability-inclusion policies and practices, according to DEI's website.
"A commitment to Diversity and Inclusion is core to the priorities driving this company," said Christy Pambianchi, senior vice president, Human Resources. "Receiving a top score on the 2018 Disability Equality Index is recognition of Corning's belief in the fundamental dignity of The Individual, one of Corning'sseven core values."
Companies are graded on their performances in five categories — cultural leadership, enterprise-wide access, employment practices, community support and engagement, and supplier diversity. Questions include specifics aboutresource groups, executive sponsors, accommodations, and internal and external awareness.
